My painting, Morro Bay, was inspired from a photograph by Chris Burkard.  It is 9×12 acrylic on canvas panel. I loved the tangerine light Chris Burkard caught and wanted to capture the feeling of warm light in the cold water.

I visited Morro Bay during a 5 week painting adventure of the California coastline.  It was an amazing trip, painting surf breaks from SanDiego to Pt Reyes and Drake.  The painting sold to a California surfer that was visiting Laguna and living in St Louis.  He loved taking home a memory of his youth growing up and surfing Northern California.
